Title Definition
Whois An Internet directory service that can be used to find information about domain names users registered on a server, or other information about the network.
WWW The common abbreviation for “World Wide Web.” The WWW is what most people refer to as “the Internet,” but it is really one a part of the Internet. The World Wide Web is commonly also called “The Web.”
ZIP ZIP – To compress a file using PKZIP, ZipIt, gzip, or other compatible archiver.
Backorder Backorder refers to attempting to prepay for a domain to get it as fast as possible after it expires. If a domain you like is about to expire you could put a backorder on it to try and get it before anyone else does.

Blog A personal website or web page on which an individual records opinions, links to other sites, etc. on a regular basis. The term is a contraction of web log.
rar .rar files are a Linux based compression program like ZIP files. It is becoming more common on Windows systems as well.
WHM A reseller and dedicated server control panel is an upgraded CPanel account that has additional privileges and access to a WHM interface. These privileges allow the user to manage subordinate CPanel accounts and more server options.
